Driving our hire vehicles

What you'll need:

• Your full driving license if you're a UK resident, Both Photo card and Paper counterpart

• If you're from overseas, we'll need to see your international driving license plus your full license and passport

• 2 Forms of ID, Credit/Debit card, recent utility bill, passport etc.

• Payment of hire charges, plus a holding Deposit of up to £500 vehicle dependant

 

Qualification Bike/Car

​

Riders hiring Scooter/Motorcycles must be a minimum of 21& 69 years of age and hold a valid license cover A1 use .Provisional riders must also have a valid CBT certificate

Drivers must be between 21 and 69 years of age for vans and cars, and between 25 and 70 years of age for Trucks and People carriers. Mini Buses require D1. Drivers must also have held a full driving license for at least a 2-year period.

Vehicle Fuel

Please be advised that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the fuel that has been used is replaced. So, if the vehicle arrives with an empty, half full, or full tank you will be requested to replace the vehicle fuel level to the same as when it was delivered, Failure to do so will incur charges to your credit/debit card at £1.95 + VAT per litre. If you put extra fuel in the van GD Brown motorcycles is not responsible for the difference in fuel. Please be advised if your hire vehicle is not delivered full please inform us straight away on 01483 427979 or email and also keep your delivery paperwork showing the fuel level, please keep any receipts for fuel for 7-14 Days.

 

Brake-down procedure

In the eventuality of a vehicle brake down please contact Lexham on 0845 8010752 Inside office hours please also contact us direct on 01483 427979.

Your requested to stay with the vehicle until recovery has taken place

GD Brown does not cover any losses or outside costs when a vehicle brakes downs of fails .A replacement vehicle may be offered if available at the time brake down

 

Punctures/ damaged tires

​

It is the hirers responsibility if punchers or damage occurs whilst in the hirers control or hire period.

The costs to repair or replace would be deducted from the hirers excess.

STRICTLY ALL PUNCHERS MUST BE RETURNED TO GD BROWN MOTORCYLES FOR REPAIR OR REPLACMENT.

 

Loss of Vehicle Keys

In the event of the rental vehicle's keys being mislaid, lost, or stolen, then our company will charge for the courier charges to deliver the spare keys plus the total cost to replace the missing keys and reprogramming of central locking key fob if required.

In the event of loss or theft of a vehicle you will be liable to pay £2500.00 if the vehicle is not recovered or traceable. This cost is to cover any shortfall that the insurance does not cover.

 

Cancellation Policy

​

Cancellation of a booking will incur a 20% charge from the total cost of the booking value.

GD Brown Motorcycles reserve the right to cancel confirmed and unconfirmed reservations 24 hours prior to rental commencement.

All Vehicle types shown on our web page are for example purposes only.

The vehicles that are delivered could differ from time to time to the examples shown on our web page.

We never guarantee make or model.

 

Early Returns

​

Please note that we will not issue any refunds should you return the rental vehicle supplied before the pre arranged termination time and date.

 

Complaints Procedure

​

Our company is confident, that the service we offer to all of our customers will be of the highest standard and that your rental vehicle supplied will be very satisfactory. However, should you wish to lodge a complaint, then this must be submitted by post. On receipt of your letter we will then investigate and respond within 28 working days.

 

Uses without permission

​

If any vehicle is taken one way or out of the UK without prior arraignment all charges that are incurred to repatriate the vehicle to the original destination will be charged to the customer and the card which was used at the time of booking will be charged.
